Massimo is one of the top roasters in Almaty, and the coffeeshop is the small room attached to that: a shop and a counter, selling coffee and nothing else. No matcha, no syrup menu, no reason to be there unless you are drinking coffee. That single-mindedness is the point of the place.

Order across the V60s rather than settling on one, and try the espressos they are running as specialty — the bean cards change, and the range is where the roasting shows.

It is central enough that visitors find it easily, which is worth knowing if you are staying downtown and want one reliable place to come back to.
