Here to stay

The rest of this site is written for someone with a fortnight. This part is for the other reader: you are here for a couple of years, the novelty has worn off, and your questions have changed. Not where to get the best espresso — where to find a doctor who speaks English, and how to keep running through a winter in a city you did not grow up in.

It is honest about what it does not know. Where I know a place because I use it, I say so. Where I am passing on what an expat friend told me, I say that. And where I do not know, the page says that instead of guessing — because a recommendation you would act on for a haircut is not the same one you would act on for a clinic.

Running clubs, and why not to let the move break the habit.

Moving country is the easiest moment to stop training, and a club is the cheapest way not to — it also solves the other problem you arrived with, which is knowing nobody.

Still being written

Clinics and salons that work in English are what I am collecting next, along with vets. They are not here yet because I would rather publish four places I can stand behind than forty I cannot.
